The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, July 31, 2011 of Wayne Ford, beloved husband of Norma (nee Cormier) of Oyster Bed Bridge, age 51.
Wayne was the precious father of Amanda (Jonathan Gallant) and Gregory; and the cherished Gompie to Venna and Gavin. He is also survived by his father, Floyd and stepmother, Leona (Misener); his sisters and brothers, Judy Gallant (Richard), Glenn (Eileen), Michael (Tammy), Donna Ford (Darrell), Darren and Treena Sheehan (Jamie); his father and mother-in-law, Alfred and Melva (Caissie) Cormier; sisters and brothers-in-law, Roseann, Stanley (Barb), Rose Krempig (Gunter), Syl (Jean), Mae Affleck (Terry), Teddy (Phyllis), Aurella Perry (Tom Richard), Una, Della (Hayden Smith), Alfred (Shannon) and René (Shelley); also several stepbrothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne was predeceased by his mother, Doreen (nee Doucette); his brothers, Shawn and Robert; and brothers-in-law, Ernest and Stephen.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Rustico on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
