At his home on Sunday, July 31, 2011, of Dennis Rooney of North Pinette, age 52 years.
Beloved husband of Jeanie Rooney (nee Carruthers) and loving father of Megan Rooney (Jamie Knox), Bruce Rooney (Rachel Soucie) and Bradford Rooney (Sarah Mermuys). Dennis is also survived by his siblings, Mary Redmond, Joe Rooney (Darlene), Leonard Rooney (Irene), Rose Halliday (Les) and Eugene Rooney (Margaret); mother and father-in-law, Marjorie and Calvin Carruthers; brothers-in-law, Ron Carruthers and Keith Carruthers (Christine); and sister-in-law, Anita Rooney.
He was predeceased by his parents, James and Joan Rooney; and brothers, Richard and Kenneth Rooney.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, 2:30-4:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 4, at St. Michael's Church, Iona, at 11 a.m.
