It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Marjorie Walker, 71, of North Sydney on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in North Sydney, she was the daughter of the late John Gerald and Frances (Young) Robinson.
Marjorie was a kind-hearted lady who was always willing to listen. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Anne Robinson of North Sydney; her two grandchildren, Roderick Jerrett and Shannon Forrest; by her siblings, Patricia Lomond, Geraldine Robinson and Emily Billard, all of North Sydney, Arthena Howell of Winnipeg, Man., Janet Robertson of Halifax; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Anne Robinson, Marie Burns, Pearl Ford, and brothers, John and William Robinson.
There will be no visitation by request. Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney, with Rev. Patrick O’Neill officiating.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
