It is with great sadness that the family announces that Jim (J.R.) passed away on July 28th, 2011 after a brief but hard battle with cancer.
Born and raised in the Ottawa (Ontario) Valley, Jim has lived in Kamloops since 1974.
He was predeceased by his parents Sid and Elva Barratt of Pakenham, Ontario. Jim is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth of Kamloops. He also leaves to cherish his memory brothers Kenneth (Darlene) of Uxbridge, Ontario and Al (Toby) of Pakenham, Ontario, brother-in-law William Hunter “Sharkey” Shaw (Susan) of Kamloops as well as aunts, nieces and nephews.
In respect for Jim’s wishes, private arrangements have been made.
