Corbett, Muriel Emily – 81, Bass River, passed away on Friday, July 29 in Gables Lodge Nursing Home, Amherst. Born in Londonderry, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Annie (Adams) Mattix. Surviving are children, Kathleen Corbett, Oxford and Arthur, Bass River; grandchildren, Jeremy Corbett (Michelle Quin), Scotty Corbett, Bass River and Kattie Corbett, Alberta; two great grandchildren, Addison and Mya; several nieces and nephews. Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Neil Corbett; brothers, William, Arden, Daniel and Douglas. A private graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3 in the Bass River Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Canadian Mental Health Association, Colchester East Hants Branch.
