HICKEY, THOMAS ETIENNE - The death of Thomas Hickey of Fredericton occurred at Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, August 1st, 2011. Born in Nash Creek, NB, he was the loving husband of 62 years to the late Hazel V. Hickey. Thomas was a veteran of WWII where he served with the Carleton-York Regiment from 1941-1945. Thomas is survived by daughter, Tina Compton (Bill Storey) of Geary; grandchildren, Danny (Lisa), Dean (Sarah) and Darren Compton (O); great-grandchildren, Jennesa Brighton, Molly, Casey, Teagan and Cora Compton and siblings, Olive, Helen and Betty. Predeceased by his wife, Hazel; his parents, Thomas and Elizabeth (Carrier) Hickey and his siblings, Mary, Jimmy, Julia, Eugene and Blanche.
There will be no visitation at his request. A memorial service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Thursday, August 4th, 2011 at 2:00 pm with The Ven. John Sharpe officiating.
