Surrounded by her family, Gladys Mabel Jenkins (nee Hearn), of Georgetown, age 81 years, passed away at the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge in Eldon on Monday, August 1, 2011.
Wife of the late George "Hibbett" Jenkins. Loving mother of Ralph (Diane), Cambridge; Floyd (Emily), Faye (Boyd) Rilley, Cathy Ann (Bernie) MacDonald; Emily (Wilf) Standing, all of Georgetown; Myrtle (Vaughn) Smith, Charlottetown; Eric (Gloria), Ricky (Pammy), Dewie (Terry) MacDonald, all of Georgetown; Shelly Wright, Lot 16; and Vincent (Shelley), Georgetown. Devoted grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Lily (Preston) Stewart, Georgetown.
Predeceased by her daughter, Laverne Powers; son, Aulden; infant son, Percy; son-in-law, George Powers; sisters, Alice, Doris, Ivy, Sybil, Elsie; and brother, Dick.
Resting at Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment in the Holy Trinity Cemetery, Georgetown.
Visitation: Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
