It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sybil Knott announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the age of 88 years. She will be sadly missed by her son, Derek (Cavell) Knott of Stephenville, her daughter, Elaine (Robert) Alley of Jeffrey’s, two grandchildren: Deanne (David) Madore of Jeffrey’s, Damien (Wanda) Knott of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, three great-grandchildren, Devon Knott, Frasier Knott, Dawson Madore, sister-in-law, Ella Chaffey of Corner Brook and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan Knott, parents, James and Catherine Chaffey, two brothers, Howard Chaffey, Morgan Chaffey, three sisters, Hyacinth Chaffey, Martha Chaffey and Stella Openshaw. Friends may call at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church in Jeffrey’s on Thursday, August 4th from 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, August 5th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church in Jeffrey’s with interment in the Anglican Cemetery in Jeffrey’s. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to St. Mary Magdalene Church Memorial Fund, Jeffrey’s would be greatly appreciated.
