It is with great sadness that the family of the late Peter Lawrence Chaffey announce his passing on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL at the age of 59 years. He leaves to mourn with many precious memories his wife Mary Ann; son Peter (Dawn); daughter Jenna (Scott); grandchildren: Chloe, Luke; brothers: Calvin (Adaline), Edgar; sisters: Marie, Carolyn, Cindy, Margaret (Danny) as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Margaret Chaffey; grandaughter Angel; brother Edward and sister Vivian. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 7 – 9 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, West Street, Stephenville Crossing. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from Assumption Parish in Stephenville Crossing with Father Gerard Patry officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Stephenville Crossing. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made the The Assumption Parish Cemetery Committee.
