Harry Coppin

Date de décès : 1er août 2011

"Well the sun is surely sinking down, but the moon is slowly rising.
So this old world must still be spinning round and I still love you.
So close your eyes, you can close your eyes, it's all right."
James Taylor
COPPIN, Harry– As a result of a stroke while doing what he loved best, riding his bicycle, our gentle Harry left us on August 1, 2011, at the age of 51. He will be sadly missed and remembered forever for his kind heart and adventurous spirit by his wife Linda (Kelland) and sons Daniel and Andrew.
The special bond between Harry and his sister Pat March (Dave LaSalle) will ensure he continues to live in her heart. Predeceased by his parents Ethel (Earle) and Reginald of St. John's, NL, and sister Paula of Bell Island, NL. Special thanks to nephew Karl and Dana for providing unending support.
Also lovingly missed by Gord and Pam Kelland (St. John's, NL), Susan and Myron Hladyshevsky (Calgary, AB), Judi Kelland and her partner Rob Johnston (St. John's, NL), and a continent wide scattering of nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends worldwide who have met him on his many adventures.
An adventurer with a passion for family, music, travel, food and fun, he will live on through his gift as an organ donor.
There will be a visitation at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, Scarborough, on Wednesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. On Thursday afternoon at 1:00 pm, there will a celebration of his life at Guildwood Presbyterian Church in Guildwood Village (Toronto). Following that, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Harry will be hosting a party in his favorite local pub, The Olde Stone Cottage Pub, 3750 Kingston Road, Scarborough.
Harry would prefer that flowers stayed alive but if you want to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, in recognition of his best friend, Sasha, and her family, or the Ride for Heart it would be appreciated.
