It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edna Mary Janes announce her passing on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Ross (Emma) Janes, Norma (Elliott) White, Enid (Doug) Power, Gary Janes, Pauline (James) Proctor, Wanda Power and Glenda (Norman) Rector; grandchildren: Glenda (Ward), Amanda (Ryan), Darrell (Lori), Debbie (Boyd), Michelle (Mike), Marcel (Noviley), Lori (Richard), Erin (Stephen), Lesley (Christopher), Catherine and Victoria; great-grandchildren: Deidre, Kayla, Jasmine, Ryder, Daniel, Abigail, Janelle and Gabriel; great-great-grandchildren: Parker and Preston; brothers: William (Josie) Cox, Luke Cox and Ralph (Jean) Cox; sisters: Martha Barnes, Clara House and Amy Murrins; sister-in-law Geraldine Cox; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Cyril, infant daughter, 2 granddaughters, brother Walter Cox, infant brother Edgar, sisters: Eileen Welshman and Alfreda Buffett, parents George and Margaret Cox. Special thanks to staff and residents of the Lohnes Complex. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, Corner Brook on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Curling Street with Rev. Karen Laldin officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
