The touch of this fine lady on anyone in any sphere of her life made an indelible impression. Simply put, everyone loved her. Mom passed away on September 26th, 2009 at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, after being smitten by stroke 3 days before. Mom was born Winnifred Marjorie at Whitfield SK on September 29th, 1920. Mom is survived by her large, loving blended family, including her ultimate joy, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Her son Keith – Raelene Henderson, Brendan, Liam. Her daughters: (Kelly deceased) (Henry) Martens – Dale (Liz), Jayden, Easton; Phil (Anita), Taylor, Karli; Lloyd; Tim (Sherry), Carter, Madison, Parker. Leona (Don) Graham – Jon, Ken; Dale, David, Rob, Eva; Donna (Doug) Engel, Beth (Pete) Bellamy, Daniel (Elizabeth), Thomas; Donna (Warren) Olson, Samantha, Kimber, Nicklaus; Dick, Mattias, Eric, Duncan, Carter; Mark (Cheryl), Douglas, Jonathan, Samuel. (Lorraine deceased) (Les) Hegedus - Allan (Beverley); Deb (Gord) Hobson, Rylan, Cole, Brooke, Kennedy. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Kenney; brother, Lanny (Thelma) Sumners; two sisters-in-law, Marie Sumners and Dolores Sumner and by many very dear nieces and nephews; and innumerable friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Cecil & May Sumner; husbands, Leonard Gannon, Charlie Stark and John Wegren; daughters, Kelly Martens and Lorraine Hegedus; son-in-law, John Senger; sisters Kitty Haase and Bessie Sumners, brothers George, Chris, Bill and Archie, three infant siblings, sisters-in-law Betty Sumners, Evelyn Sumner, Ann Sumners and brothers-in-law Addie Haase and Pat Kenney. Mom enjoyed her volunteer work through the Boomtown Volunteers at the Western Development Museum, the Community Clinic Craft Club and being a member of the seniors Growing in Grace group at the church. The Service of Celebration will be held on Friday, October 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church (1636 Acadia Drive). Please wear blue. The Internment will be held Saturday, October 3, at 10:00, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
