Passed peacefully away on August 4, 2011, E. Doris King (nee Flight), aged 92 years. Predeceased by husband, Allan, daughter-in-law, Janet King, and son-in-law, Ashton Short. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her two daughters: Barbara White (Doug) and Donna Short; two sons: Gordon (Sharon) and David (Trudy and her daughter Kelly Tucker); special grandson, Ryan King; grandchildren: Barry White, Carolyn Petten, Sherri and John King and Ashley and Allan Short; great-grandchildren: Rachel and Katherine Petten and Lauren King; sisters: Allison Thistle, Pam Young, Vivian Wicks (Eric) and Doreen Flight; sister-in-law, Dulcie Flight; and special friend, Ethel Tucker; as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff and management of Ruby Manor, staff of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital 4 west and Dr. Pike. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from The Carnell Memorial Chapel Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
