Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, Rita Shugarue of Riverhead, Harbour Grace, age 88 years. Predeceased by husband Bernard, ten infant children, parents Michael and Alice Sullivan, sisters Ellen, Irene and Carmel, brothers Bernard, Leo, Ron, Michael and William, son-in-law: Paul. Leaving to mourn, two daughters: Phyllis (Gerald) Ryan, Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Barbara Reynolds, St. John’s; two sons: Joseph (Linda), Riverhead, Harbour Grace and Cyril (Donna), St. John’s; thirteen grandchildren: Gerry, Denise, Deanne, Anita, Brian, Kenneth, Michelle, Jason, Cyril Jr., Christine, Peter, Andrew and Angela; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Geraldine Shugarue, Ontario; two special caregivers: Debbie Coffin and Donna Jordan; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace. Funeral Mass to take place on Saturday, August 6 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace.
