Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay on Sunday, July 24, 2011 Effie Marie Bown age 77 years. Predeceased by her parents Llewellyn and Ethel Stratton; husband Benjamin Bown; brothers Llewellyn Stratton and Joseph Stratton; sister-in-law Addie Stratton; niece Heather Turcotte. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sister Mildred Stratton of St. John’s; brother Walter Stratton(Myra) of Mt. Pearl; sisters-in-law Geraldine Stratton of St. John’s and Irene Oldford of Valleyfield; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at The Salvation Army Citadel, New-Wes-Valley on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 with Lieutenants Brent and Melissa Haas officiating. Interment followed at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Wesleyville. Donations in Marie’s memory may be made to The Salvation Army Corps, New-Wes-Valley.
