Passed peacefully away at home on Friday, August 5, 2011, Kathleen Flaherty of Marysvale age 74 years. Predeceased by her husband Ignatius, parents Arthur and Sarah Walker and brothers Joseph, Louis and Alphonsus Walker. Left to mourn are her children: John (Sue Ann), Ig (Debbie), Anne Marie (John Skanes), Connie (Mike Shea), Joe and Sara (Bill MacKay); grandchildren: Katie, Kellie and Keshia O’Flaherty, Emily Skanes, Julia and Eric Shea, Matthew King, Miranda Burt and Sam MacKay; sisters: Margaret McHugh, Loretta Woodford, Joan Potter, Ann Browne, Marie Baldwin and Rose Bellew; brother Tom Walker; special sister-in-law Margaret Bartlett, devoted caregiver Jackie Bartlett, numerous nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Conway’s Funeral Home, Conception Harbour on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011 at St. Patrick’s Church, Brigus with interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Brigus.
