Passed away, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loving family and friends, at the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit on August 5th, 2011, at age 89. Predeceased by partner Herb Lee; parents Gladys and Abijah Peddle, Stephen and Rachael Lambert; brothers: Alex, George and Malcolm Lambert, and Gerald Peddle. Leaving to mourn her loving sister-in-law Helen Peddle; special care giver Rita Wall; many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre and to her public health nurses and home care workers for their care and support. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mt. Pearl, on Sunday and Monday, August 7th & 8th, 2 p.m.-4 p.m., and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at Church of the Ascension, Smallwood Drive, on Tuesday, August 9th, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
