SAVAGE, MARY GLADYS - Mrs. Mary Gladys (Leslie) Savage, wife of the late William Savage of King George Highway, Miramichi passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 85. Born in Millbank, NB, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Gladys (Clark) Leslie. She was a homemaker, member of St Mark’s United Church, member of the UCW, and also a member of the Rebecca Lodge #65. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by five sons: Leslie (Theresa) of Miramichi, Graham of Miramichi, Elmer of Moncton, Fraser (Hilda) of Edmonton, Alberta and Douglas (Noella) of Miramichi, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband, she was pre-deceased by two daughters, Debbie Williston and Gladys Hare, one sister, Christina Leslie Williston and seven brothers, Harry, Goldwyn, Clark, Elmer, Harold, Norman and Gordon Leslie.
Mrs. Mary Gladys Savage is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi with visitation on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 2pm at St Mark’s United Church in Miramichi with Wendell Gregan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
