Hatfield, William Paul – 71, Truro, passed away September 29, 2009, at home. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late John and Sara (McInnis) Hatfield. He was a plumber by trade and contractor. He loved fishing, gardening and playing crib. He is survived by his wife, the former Valorie MacPhee; daughters, Shelley (David) Antecol, Susan (Mike) MacDonald, Sonya Hatfield; grandchildren, Nick and Michelle MacDonald, Melanie and Danielle Miller; great-grandson, Nathaniel Moore; brothers, Albert (Joan), Jack (Dianne), Fred (Freda); sisters, Betty Hatfield and Charlotte Frank.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Knox United Church, Brookfield, Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. The family will meet friends for a reception in the church hall following the funeral service. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Colchester Regional Hospital Palliative Care, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
