Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving daughter at the Health Sciences Centre on August 5, 2011, Verna A. Bursey, aged 83 years. Predeceased by her husband, Alec (1997) and son, Glenn (2008). Leaving to mourn with loving memories, daughter, Elaine (Kevin Penney); sisters: Dorothy Heale (William), Edythe Moffatt (Roy); brothers: Clarence “Buck” Taylor (Jean), Harold Taylor (Melba); nieces: Gloria Cameron (Alan) and Rhonda Moffatt; nephews: Fraser Perry (Pat), Bob Heale (Kathy), Keith Perry (Joan), Bill Taylor, Rod Moffat (Tanya); as well as a large extended family and circle of friends. At Verna’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in the Field of Honor, Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
