Surrounded by the love and care of his family, William (Bill) Mayo joined his family and friends in Heaven on July 28th, 2011, at the age of 66 years. Left with saddened hearts but a lifetime of beautiful memories are his wife Joan of 40 years; daughters: Dana Farrell (Greg) of Marystown, Deanne Antle (Scott) of Paradise, Dawn Walsh (Steve) of St. John’s. Grandchildren: Jacob and Lauren Farrell, Ava and Reece Antle. Brothers: John, Sam (Effie), Charlie Mayo and families; sisters: Margaret Hodder (Clifford), Shirley Hanabusa (Yoshi), Christine Smith (David) and families. Brothers and sisters-in-law: Bernadette Dwyer (Dennis), Patricia Riggs (Roland), Evelyn Brown (Gerry), Gordon Coady, Lorraine Taylor (Gary), Wallace (Anne) Coady, Allan Coady, Mary Ann Broderick (Ron), Betty Coady and families, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and close friends. Predeceased by his parents Armena and Sam Mayo, sister Marlene, nephews Larry, Gregory and Christopher Hodder, Mother and Father-in-law Christina and John Coady, brother-in-law John Coady and sister-in-law Sheila Coady. Resting and visitation was from Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown on Saturday, July 30th from 12- 5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., Sunday July 31st from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., 6-9 p.m. and on Monday August 1st from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Funeral Mass was held on Monday, August 1st at 2 p.m. from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown with Father Leo English presiding. Cremation followed. Inurnment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Marystown. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Redemptorist Father’s Relief Fund, in care of Father Leo English, St. Teresa’s Parish, 120 Mundy Pond Road, St. John’s, NL, A1E 1V1. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown.
