DeLUCA, JOHN M. - John M. DeLuca, 87, of Riverview and formerly of Laird Avenue, Moncton, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday August 8, 2011. Born in Port Arthur, ON, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Rose (Scalza) DeLuca. John was a retired Regional Manager of Claims with U.I.C., with 37 years service. He attended Holy Family Roman Catholic Church and was a former member of the Church Choir. He was a member of the Riverview Veterans Association and the Moncton Golf and Country Club. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served overseas for over three years with the R.C.A.F. and spent over nine months as a POW in Poland. John will be sadly missed by his children, Kathleen Beals (Paul), Hampton, Kristine Leger (Len), Fredericton, Lorraine DeLuca, Bedford, NS, Lisa DeLuca, Moncton, Anthony (Tony) (Monique), Moncton, David (Dawn), Riverview; 12 precious grandchildren; five cherished great grandchildren; sisters, Rita Armstrong and Ruth Kylander, both of Thunder Bay, ON; Kathleen Kinahan (Tom), London, ON; brother, William (Marie), Cranbrook, BC; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Hazel A. (Dieter) DeLuca (September 1999); brothers, Robert, Thomas and James.
