On August 5, 2011, Jeannette passed away peacefully at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice House at the age of 68 years.

She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Doug Currie, sisters Cecilia Louis, Christine Bob, Sarah Bob and Lillian Joe, and her beloved girls Reyna Mitchell and Kelly Jeffs.

While we grieve the loss of a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, gramma and friend, we can rejoice in the life that she lived.

Of all her accomplishments, Jeannette's greatest achievements have been in the lives of her family and friends. She had a unique gift to recognize and appreciate the talents in others and to make them feel loved and lifted by her presence. Her creative mind, kind heart and brilliant smile allowed her to make everything sparkle. Her generous heart filled our home with love, fun, family and friends, including an attitude that there was always room for one more. She raised a standard for courage and faithfulness through her own trials, which helped us, put our problems and excuses into perspective.

One of her passions in life was the Hospice House gardens and ensuring they were beautiful for the families who were there to support their loved ones and a place to take a break and to enjoy the scenery and view.

She leaves her daughter, son-in-law, sisters, Kelly, Reyna and Isabelle, with the knowledge that they were truly loved.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms, from too many people to name individually, but including: Kamloops Hospice - Janice, Carole, Maureen, David, Michelle, Joyce, Sue, Mary Rea, and extended family - either through prayer and/or visits, neighbours, and even random acts of kindness through total strangers.

The urn that Jeannette's earthly remains will be held in nicely reflects, how fondly she will be remembered: beautiful and special.

Do a loving act of kindness, make someone laugh, send a card, give a hug, or say "I love you" to your special friend in her memory.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with Father Giovanni Manalac officiating.
