1929 - 2011

Theresa Helen Poelzer (nee Gurski) departs this temporal life when she passed away August 6, 2011. She was born on December 6, 1929 at home, on a farm in the rural area of Viscount, Saskatchewan.

Left to cherish the memories of her life are her husband Arnold of 58 years and her children Judy (Brian), Denise (Kevin), Marguerite (Rob), Louise (Doug), Mary (Andy), Gwen (Norm), David (Cherie), Donald (Tracy) and Joan (Gary). She was predeceased by two infant children Mark and Jean Elizabeth.

Theresa was a dedicated and cherished stay at home Mom and devoted her life to the service and up bringing of her children and to extended family members.

She was an active and lifetime member of the O.L.P.H. Parish Family, from the time the church was constructed in 1953 to the present.

She was a very close friend of the late Bishop Michael Harrington and assisted him in many ways. While a member of the Parish C.W.L. she was assigned to hospital visiting and preformed the duties of visiting those confined in Royal Inland Hospital with both compassion and love.

Prayers will be recited on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Peter Nguyen celebrant. Interment will follow, in family plot at Hillside Cemetery.
