Passed suddenly but peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Monday, August 8, 2011, Gertrude (Moriarity) O'Keefe of Placentia in her 84th year. Predeceased by her husband Cyril, son Edgar, sisters: Geraldine St. Croix, Clara Flemming and Janey Tobin, brothers: Patrick and Clem, and son-in-law Leo Kennedy. Leaving to mourn with loving memories her children: Geraldine (George Cantwell), Regina (Dave Hiscock), Barb (Edgar McGrath), Liz, Carmel (Gerry Dunne), Cyril Jr. (Paula), and Wayne (Colette); her grandchildren: Jeffrey, Nick, Timmy, Jennifer, Tina, Jason, Stephen, Kim, Christine, Lucas, April, Curtis, Matthew, Michelle and Ashleigh; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother James Moriarity; sisters-in-law: Anne Walsh, Rita Eason and Mona O'Keefe and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Thursday, August 11 at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Big Barasway.
