Passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at home.
Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Mary (Bagnell) Hall.
Betty is survived by her son, Stephen, Halifax; daughter, Lynda Costie, Halifax; brothers, Jack Hall, Sydney, Nick Hall, Brantford, Ont.; sisters, Alice Penticost, Sydney, Mary Campbell, Comox B.C.; grandchildren, Wanda McKenna, Halifax, Tony Costie, Halifax, Shauna Brennan, Colleen Sullivan, Cheryl Baily and Michael Sullivan, all of Ottawa; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was predeceased by husband, Edward, son, Wayne, daughters, Marilyn Sullivan and Sharon Costie and eight brothers and sisters.
Cremation took place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Memorial mass to be held at Holy Rosary Church in Westmount, Cape Breton, Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at 11 a.m.
Elizabeth will be missed by many people especially her son, Stephen who helped care for Elizabeth through her final days.
