December 24, 1918 – August 8, 2011. A gentle soul went with the angels, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 8, 2011, at her late residence in Conception Hr., Frances Laracy, age 92 years. Recipient of Order of Canada 1002 & Person’s Award 1987. Predeceased by her husband Jack (1969), her children: Frances and Frank; her brothers and sisters: Cyril, Frank, Larry, Martin, Maggie, Catherine and her daughter-in-law Marion. She leaves with cherished memories her children: Bet, Larry, Kevin and Mary. Her legacy lives on in her nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her sisters: Anne McKee and Ellen Byrne and many other relatives and friends. The family will welcome friends at Conway’s Funeral Home, Conception Hr. on Wednesday, August 10, 12 noon to 9 p.m. and Thursday, August 11, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church, Conception Hr. with interment to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
