The family of the late Hazel Ivany, age 83, regrets to announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville. Predeceased by her parents, Elam and Gertrude Ivany; step- mother Alfreda Ivany; husband, Eli Ivany; sons, Lindsay and Derek; great grandchild, Jason Justin Butt. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her children, Norma Dean (Wilbur), Hedley (Rose), Glenda Butt (Tom), Shirley Walters (Bob), Dennis (Betty), Rowena Miller (Harold), Gilda Walters (Gerald), Beverly Butt (Max); 21 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 nephew, nieces, god children, cousins and a large circle of friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home, Hickman's Harbour. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Robert Oldford, took place from the All Saints Anglican Church, Petley on Friday, August 12, 2011 with interment following.
