HOBEN, PATRICIA ANN (PARSONS) - It is with great sadness the family of Patricia "Patsy" Hoben of Fredericton announce her sudden passing on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Fredericton on March 8, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. Parsons and the late Thelma (McLeod) Parsons. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Hoben (1988), brothers-in-law Danny Hoben and Richard Hoben. She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine (John) Holland and Shyanne (Joe Mitchell) Hoben of Fredericton; her much loved and adored grandsons Ashley and Tyler Holland, and a sister Geraldine (Brian) Kelly of Mazerolle Settlement; sisters-in-law Joan Belyea, Marsha (Edison) Moore, Caroline Cusack, Wendy Hoben and Joyce Storey; brothers-in-law William (Nerene) Hoben, Randy (Cathy) Hoben, Pete Hoben and George Hoben; also survived by a special aunt and uncle Jean and Deverne Woodworth; numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her feline companion "Ty".
The family will receive condolences at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Friday, August 12, 2011 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. A celebration of Patsy's life will be held from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 13 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Ralph Irving officiating. Interment in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ashley and Tyler Holland, Mike Hoben, Edison Moore, Jeff Locke and Brian Kelly. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
