Bernice Scott, at 86 years young, passed on September 22, 2009 at the Edgewater Hospice Care Center in Edgewater, FL.
Bernice was born in Alberta, Canada, on January 1, 1923, and lived in almost all of the Canadian provinces in Canada until 1970 when she moved to Virginia and subsequently New Smyrna Beach, FL, for the last 26 years of her life.
From 1969 until 1982, Bernice and Murray spent a significant part of their time on Beau View Farm in Marshfield, Prince Edward Island, a guest home/working farm where they made innumerable friends, both Islanders and guests alike and they highly prized every hour they spent on their farm.
Her beloved survivors include her husband, Major Murray Norman Scott, a retired Royal Canadian Air Force, highly decorated Second World War pilot (DFC); her sons, Ladnor and family, including his wife Diana and two grandsons, Joshua and Andrew, all of Charleston, SC; and Timothy and family, including his wife Susan two granddaughters, Brandy and Samantha, and two great-grandchildren, William and Alexandra, all of the Washington, DC area.
Bernice and Murray were married in Calgary, Canada in 1946.
A private family service will be held. Subsequently, her ashes will be offered to the sea off of the coastline of Florida near New Smyrna Beach.
Bernice represented the very cornerstone of a truly happy family and will be dearly missed by us all. May God accept her in his loving arms, as she so much deserves, after all she has given to so many. We will all miss her so very much. God bless you, special lady, from all that were given the great gift of having you as a part of our lives.
