The death occurred peacefully, at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, of Sheldon MacEwen, of Summerside. Born in Morell, he was the son of the late Bruce "B.W." and Eva (Webster) MacEwen. Survived by his loving wife Madeline (Greenan) MacEwen; sister Margaret Robinson, Charlottetown; nieces and nephews Peter (Barbara) Robinson, Tyne Valley; Gail (Bob) Blair, Rhode Island, NY; Shelley (Jack) MacSween, Charlotteton; Susan (Brian) Duncan, Charlottetown; Bruce (Sharon) MacEwen, FL; Ian (Debbie) Zanin, NY; Blair Zanin, FL; and by sisters-in-law Vange (Paul) O'Rourke, Charlottetown; Georgina Allan, Summerside; and Mildred Connelly, Toronto, ON. Sheldon will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and family. Predeceased by his sister Jean (Stel) Zanin; brother Heber (Lorraine) MacEwen; and brother-in-law Keith Robinson. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the International Development and Relief Foundation/East Africa Somalia Relief Fund, the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
