At the Western Hospital Alberton, on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011 of Lloyd William MacLeod of the Tignish Seniors Co-op Home, aged 92 years. Beloved husband of the late Stella (nee Lebitt) who predeceased him on June 27, 2010. Born at Judes Point on May 16, 1919 he was the son of the late William D. and Annie (nee Dawson) MacLeod. He is survived by brothers: Roy of Tignish and Chester (Danielle) of Bradenton, Florida. Brother-in-law to Reg Eldershaw of Tignish and Bill Strowbridge of Nfld. and Anne LeBitt of Florida. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by sisters Edith Eldershaw and Margaret Strowbridge and by a sister-in-law Peggy MacLeod. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Monday morning from the Gordon Memorial United Church Alberton for funeral service at 10:30 am. Interment to take place in the Tignish United Church Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired memorials to the Tignish Seniors Co-op Home would be gratefully appreciated.
