It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Rosamond Alice Bell (nee Wright) at the Township of Osgoode Care Centre, Metcalfe (Ottawa), Ont., on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at the age of 91. Born in Middleton, P.E.I., she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mary (MacKinnon) Wright. Predeceased by her husband, Kenneth, and her daughter, Diane Drake (Bill), she is survived by her son, Donald (Mary), her sister, Pauline Simmonds, her grandchildren, Stuart Drake (Laurie), Joshua Drake (Maria), Robyn Bell and Meghan Bell, her great-grandchildren, Jessica, Isaac, Stella Rose and baby Jonah, her nephew Percy Simmonds and her nieces Marlene Henry, Karen Harrison and Sandy Crosby. Rosamond also leaves behind the dear staff at the Township of Osgoode Care Centre who cared for her for the past 10 years. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated. A celebration of Rosamond’s life will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, from 3 to 5 p.m.
