KEATING, Madora A. - 94, of North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia, formerly of Milton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 6th, 2011 in North Queens Nursing Home. Born in Milton, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Muriel (Townsend) Anthony. “Dodie” will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother who could be counted on by those who knew her in her community day or night no matter what. She was an excellent cook; loved to bake for her family and had an uncanny knack for “knowing the unknown” especially when it came to her children. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by daughters: Susan Weare, Harmony; Evelyn Patterson, Dartmouth; Ann Kent, Halifax; Margaret (Roger) Corkum, Eagle Head; Yvonne (Charles) Greer, Greenfield; Greta Everett, Liverpool; Dorothy (Einar) Whynot, Liverpool; Her sons: Daniel (Charlene Conrad), Milton; Ronald (Janet Grezaud), Liverpool; Archie (Euna), Kentville; John (Faye), Pleasantfield; 21 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard; daughter Gertrude Kay; sons: Vincent and Michael; grandsons: Donny and Gary; sisters: Mildred White; Florence Moores; Maybelle Whynot; Thelma Anthony. Brothers: Jordan, Robie and Rawlston “Bud”. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral home, Liverpool where funeral service was held Wednesday, August 10th, 2011 with Reverend Jennifer Garbin officiating and burial in Milton Community Cemetery.
