DYKEMAN, RICHARD ANSEL - Richard Ansel Dykeman - 69, Murray Siding, passed away suddenly August 11, 2011 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Wilmot and Marion (Warman) Dykeman. Richard worked for Martime Tel & Tel for 32 years. He loved canoeing, camping and enjoyed traveling. He was a great family provider and loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pauline (Rhodenizer); sons, Edward "Ted" (Andrea), Phillip (Dawn), Richard "Ricky" (Tracy), all of Truro; sister, Lynne (Richard) Eisner, Bedford; sister-in-law, Betty Dykeman, Moncton; grandchildren, Alyssa, Evan, Sarah, Thomas, Samuel, Lianna, Elijah, Jacob; Aunt Marg, Upper Gagetown, NB; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Bertram.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 14th from 7 to 9 pm with funeral services on Monday, August 15th at 11:00 a.m both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Cory Somers officiating. Interment in Bible Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gideons International Bible Society or a charity of choice.
