Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on October 1, 2009, Cecil Anthony. Member of LOL, Royal Oak #22; Past Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Black Chapter of NL; Past Grand Master of the Grand Black Chapter of BA. Age 88 years. Predeceased by his wife Gladys, 2003; his sister Annie May and his brother Clarence. Leaving to mourn his daughter Jean (Reuben); sons Roy and wife Janet, Graham and wife Marilyn; three granddaughters: Karen, Lisa, Susan; two great-granddaughters Taylor and Sophia; sister-in-law Caroline (Claude Bishop); as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Friday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2009 from the Church of St. Michael and All Angels, St. Clare Avenue. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are being gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, or the Royal Oak, LOL #22.
