McCallum, Ina Jane - 93, Truro passed away October 1, 2009 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Onslow Mountain, she was a daughter of the late George and Hannah (Higgins) McCallum. She is survived by sons, Basil Crowe, The Mira, Truro, Gary Crowe (Doreen), Harmony; daughter, Lavenia (Kenneth) Cox, Riversdale; daughters-in-law, Ola and Debbie Crowe; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; brothers, Sylvester (Doris) McCallum, Old Barns, Arthur McCallum, Bible Hill. She was predeceased by her husband, John McCallum; sons, Allan and Rollie Crowe; brothers, Davidson, Wilfred, Edward, George, Murray and Sylvester in infancy; sisters, Edna, Ida, Tressa, Stella and a sister at birth. Ina was a caring and giving person who always put her family first. She loved each and everyone of them dearly. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6-8 pm; funeral service on Sunday at 2:00 pm , both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Brian Delong officiating. Interment in West Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit of the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
