BRIDEAU, JEAN-GUY - The family of Jean-Guy Brideau sadly announces his death, which occurred peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Born on July 28, 1956, he was a son of the late Ernest and Esmerelda (Arsenault) Brideau. He had been employed as a plumber with Local 213 until his retirement in recent years. Jean-Guy is survived by his daughter, Pauline Brideau; and son, David Brideau (Chylynn), both of Saint John; grandchildren, Amelia Ann Boyce and Benjamin Hudson Brideau, of Saint John; sisters, Diane Kaden, Joan-Ann Francis, Ernestine Bastarache (Peter, who has recently passed away), Patricia Clarke and Yvonne Lanteigne; brothers, Michael, Paul and Theodore Brideau; special niece, Monique Fergestad; best friend, John Lanteigne; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, David Brideau.
A funeral service will be held for Jean-Guy on Monday, August 15, 2011 from Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row at 2:00 pm, with visitation being held starting at 12:00 noon on the same day. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, with a reception following the burial at St. Peter’s Church.
