At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, August 11, 2011, of Augustine (Gus ) Gosse of Mt. Herbert and formerly of St. John’s, N.L., age 62 years.
Beloved husband of Jo-Anne Gosse (nee Coughlin) and loving father of Catherine Obaze and Paul Gosse. Gus is also survived by his stepsons, Brett Cooper (Chrissy), Kyle Cooper (Jennifer) and Craig Cooper (Christa); grandchildren, Jessica and Cody Obaze and Josh, MacKenzie, Alyssa and A.J. Cooper; brother, Frank Gosse (Alice); sisters, Joan Gosse, Jose Connolly (Paddy) and Sharon Clancey (Brian), and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Rita Gosse.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Monday, Aug. 15, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
