GENE BRIN
1950 ~ 2009
We regret to announce the sudden death of Eugene Michael Brin on September 23, 2009 at the age of 59.
He was one of four children born to the late Eugene and Winifred Brin in Chemainus, BC. The family moved to Kamloops in 1956, where Gene has resided since.
Gene will forever be remembered by his brother Allan of Langley, and his sisters Lilliane (Bob) Dodds of Port Coquitlam and Helen (Don Powell) Samila of Kamloops, his beloved niece Nadine and nephews Jason, Michael, Jonathan, Christopher, Robert, Dave, Brian, Dean and his treasured great niece and nephews Cassidy, Jake and Payton. He will also be missed by his longtime friends the Bloomfields.
Gene retired from Finning Tractor in 2004. His 33-year career left him with many friends; those who knew him will all miss his humor, generosity and straightforward attitude. But mostly we will all miss him, for who he was, there was no one like him.
Retirement brought great joy to Gene's life. He loved camping and fishing, just being in the bush. Sitting in his special chair soaking up the sun.

What a way to go!! At the lake, fish in the boat,
doing what he loved.
But from family and friends we say
"Too soon Gene", "Too soon Uncle Gene".

Celebration of Gene's life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel.
