Elva Sinnis
Elva Grace Sinnis, 76 of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Hopewell, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Manor.
Born in Linden, she was a daughter of the late Wylie and Grace (Mitchell) Moore.
She loved the outdoors and quilting her quilts as well as enjoying time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Ted (Linda), Fox Brook; Paul, Churchville; grandchildren: Jimmy, Alicia and Emma.
She is also survived by her sisters, Geraldine Crocket, New Glasgow; Edith (John) Weeks, Alberta; brother Andrew (Inez) Moore, Amherst; sisters-in-law, Beth Moore, Linden; Marlene Sinnis, Fox Brook; brother-in-law Donald Logan, Amherst and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Jimmy; sisters, Louise Moore; Kay Logan; brother David Moore; brothers-in-law: Struan, Bill and Orville and sister-in-law Helen.
Visitation will be held Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the H.W Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday from the First Presbyterian Church, Hopewell with Bonnie Crockett presiding. Burial will be in the MacLeod Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia or to the First Presbyterian Church, Hopewell.
