GLADYS KINDRED

Gladys Rachel Kindred (Harrison) of Regina, Sask. passed away at the age of 100 years. Gladys was born on January 29th, 1911 in Wednesbury, South Staffordshire, England and passed away on August 12, 2011. She and her family immigrated to Moose Jaw, Sask. in 1922. She woked for Moose Jaw Palm Dairies prior to her marriage in 1932 to Henry (Harry) Kindred. She was employed for many years at T. Eaton Co. Ltd. in Moose Jaw retiring in 1972 and moving to Regina in 1995.
Predeceased by her parents Rachel and Herb Harrison, her brother Victor, her sister Olive Cook, her sister Irene Warner, her grandson Clint Kindred in 1975, and her husband of 68 years in 2000. She is survived by her sisters Marjory Damour and Dorothy Winstanley, her son Herb (Fran) Kindred, grandchildren Greg (Shelley), Norm (Jan), Tom (Patti), Dave (Sarah), her daughter Edith (Reg) Boughen, grandchildren Toni (Gary Peck), Trent (Julie), twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was active in the I.O.D.E. and Bethlehem Shrine for many years. Gladys was amember of St. Michaels and All Angels Church, since arriving in Moose Jaw as a young girl, until her move to Regina. She was actively involved in her younger years in the Church Drama Club.
Following cremation, a private family service will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, donations can be made to the Regina Lutheran Home, 1925 - 5th Avenue North, Regina, Sask. S4R 7W1.
