Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, with loving family by her side of Donna “Eileen” (McKenna) Sherry of Fernwood, aged 62. Dear wife of John Sherry, beloved mother of Jason (Rachel) and Amy (Andrew) and grandmother of Alexis, Braden, and “Olivia” Grace Eileen. Eileen is survived by her sisters Marina McCabe, Carol Ann McCabe, Janet (Blair) MacDonald and a sister-in-law Mary McKenna. Eileen was predeceased by her parents Edward and Helen McKenna of Iona and brothers Kevin and Merlin McKenna. She is lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws. Resting at the Lawless Funeral Home, 21 Somerset St., Kinkora, until Wednesday, Oct. 7 then to St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the palliative care unit of the Prince Edward Home or to a charity of your choice. The CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:45 p.m. Interment to take place at St. Malachy’s Cemetery, Kinkora.
