Pius Michael Keough, 72, formerly of Townsend Street, Sydney, passed away peacefully on Tuesday Aug. 16, 2011 at Taigh Na Mara Nursing Home, Glace Bay.
Born in Whitney Pier, he was the son of the late Andrew and Hannah (Ryan) Keough. Pius was a quiet man, always greeting everyone he met with a warm, friendly smile. He had an avid sweet-tooth, and loved a good hot cup of tea while enjoying old music and movies. For most of his life, he resided under the devoted care of his sisters, Harriet and Lenora.
He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Dan (Claire) Keough, Sydney and Leo Keough, Brampton; sisters, Lenora, Sydney and Sister Maria Pius, Antigonish, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Rusty Keough and Joe Keough; sisters, Harriet McMaster and Carrie Deleskie; nephew, Daniel Gregory Keough.
Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held for the family.
Memorial donations made in Pius’ memory to the Taigh Na Mara Nursing Home would be appreciated.
