Lanie N.E. Koops– 75, Murray Siding, passed away peacefully to her Lord and Savior on August 16, 2011.
Born on November 24, 1935 in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, she was the daughter of William and Petronella (van Herk) Verheul.
Throughout her life, Lanie consistently expressed gratitude to the Canadian Armed Forces for their liberation of the Netherlands. She was an active member of John Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Truro.
She is survived by her beloved children Herman (Roxanne), Nelly (John), Juanita (Glenn), Randall (Johanna); grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lanie was predeceased by beloved husband William.
Thank you to the staff of Colchester Hospital. Family flowers only. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 19th in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday August 20th in John Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 169 Glenwood Drive, Truro.
