The death occurred on October 2, 2009, at Whisperwood Villa of Jemima (Blanche) MacKenzie, formerly of Westmoreland, P.E.I., wife of the late Charlie MacKenzie and daughter of the late Edmond and Cassie MacDougall. Blanche was born in Rose Valley, on May 31, 1924, and is survived by her children Alan (Georgina Fall), David, Mary (Blaine Hrabi), Gene (Julie Dextras), Heather (Darrell Poulton), and Linda (Jeremy Stiles), and sisters-in-law Audrey MacDougall and Budd MacKenzie. Loving grandmother to Eddie (Diane) MacKenzie, Sue (Al Campbell) MacKenzie, Bruce MacKenzie, Catherine (Jamie Landry) MacKenzie, Gayle (Claude) Clement, Rosanne MacKenzie, Sarah Hrabi, Joseph Hrabi, Michelle Sencabaugh, Joanne Sencabaugh, Corey MacKenzie, Alannah Stiles and Ceilidh Stiles. Also loving great-grandmother of 10 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Annie Morrison, Florence MacDougall, and brother Bruce MacDougall, also by brothers-in-law Sandy Morrison, Capt. Herb MacKenzie, Jim Beatrice, Rev. Alex McDowell, Brewer Auld, Walter MacLure, and sisters-in-law Cassie Beatrice, Dorothy MacLure, Barbara McDowell, Jeannette Auld, and granddaugher Barbara Jane MacKenzie. Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home in Crapaud. Visiting hours Tuesday, October 6, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be held at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7, at 2 p.m. Interment following at South Granville Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Presbyterian Church in South Granville, or the cemetery fund.
