CROFT, Eva St. Cecilia - 89, of Hillsview Acres, Middlefield, formerly of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Tuesday, August 9th, 2011. Born on October 22, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Nellie (Murphy) Croft. Eva will be fondly remembered as a warm and generous person who enjoyed cooking and baking and was a talented seamstress who could do “magic” with a needle and thread. She enjoyed watching Television especially talk shows like “Jerry Springer” and the game show network. She had a strong love for animals especially “Lady”. She is survived by her son Frank (Jane) of Milton. Grandsons: Richard (Tammy Lannan) of Milton and Duane (Elizabeth) DesRosiers of Chatham, ON; Grand daughter Paula (Ted) Kennedy of Ilderton, ON; Great-grandchildren Andrew Croft of Milton, Jessilyn, Joel, Quinn, Lauryn and Taryn Kennedy of Ilderton, On, Dominic and Jacqueline DesRosiers of Chatham, ON; Her sister Elsie (Doug) Wamboldt of Milton. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred, daughter Judy, sisters Olive Anthony, Thelma “Zelma” Simpson, Helen Woodworth, Mabel Knox, Dorothy Wolfe and Ida Wamboldt; Brothers Vernon, Clyde, Percy, Jimmy, Harry, Anson, Jake and Laurie. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Milton Community Cemetery.
