It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Susan Turner on August 14, 2011 at the Kamloops Hospice Home.

Margaret will be deeply missed by her daughter Beverley, son Ron (Caroline), brother Adam (Dolores), daughter-in-law Debbie, brother-in-law Warren, nephew Don (Margaret), grandchildren Cathy (Chad), David (Stephanie), great grandchildren Carter, Chaya, Kaitlyn and long-time friend Verna Saniger.

Margaret was born on December 19, 1920 in Brandon, Manitoba. She moved to Vancouver, B.C. and resided there for most of her life, working for B.C. Telephone for 33 years until her retirement at age 65. In 2006 Margaret moved to Kamloops, B.C. to be close to her family.

The qualities that people will remember most about Margaret were her caring and generous nature, her sense of style, and her outgoing personality. She was a very strong-willed and independent lady. She loved to read, go for walks, talk to people, and looked forward to her weekly games of cribbage with the fellow residents of the Oaks Apartments. She also enjoyed going on day trips to explore the countryside around Kamloops.

Margaret was a "class act" and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank all the medical staff of 7 North, who cared for Margaret. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the staff of Kamloops Hospice for their care and compassion.

A private family Celebration of Margaret's Life will be held at a later date.
