Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, in the presence of her Dutch family, on August 11th, 2011. Leaving to mourn her partner, Kars Meyboom and his family; her mother Gail Catto, (Norm); her father Jim Thistle (Barbara); her stepmother Jan Dicks; her grandparents Mary and Jim Thistle (St. John’s) and grandmother Elizabeth Sellars (B.C.); brothers: Paul Thistle, Alan Catto and Michael Thistle, and sister Rachel Thistle, along with a wide circle of family and friends in Canada and the Netherlands. Memorial Services will take place in Rijswijk, the Netherlands Wednesday August 17th, 2:30 to 4:30, followed by visitation at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd, St. John’s NL, Friday August 19th, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Memorial Service on Saturday August 20th at 11:00 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel, followed by a Memorial Service in British Columbia August 30th, 2011.
