SCULLION, BERNADINE MARGARET (DAIGLE) - The death of Bernadine Scullion, 92, formerly of 76 Frederick Street, St. Andrews, NB occurred at Bobby's Hope House, Saint John, NB on Friday, August 19, 2011. Born in Chipman, NB on February 18, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Carl and Jennie Daigle, wife of the late William Francis Scullion. Bernadine was involved in many activities in her community some of which were curling, volunteering at the Ross Museum, CWL, Brownies and Girl Guides. Her real focus and joy was her family. She loved family gatherings and celebrations. Her final six months were in the loving and gracious hands of Bobby's Hope House where she received unsurpassed care from the staff and many volunteers. Bernadine is survived by two sons Robert (Judy) of Grand Bay Westfield, Paul (Rolande) of Moncton; two daughters Cecilia Duncan of Saint John, Susan McFarlane (Jim) of Fredericton; three grandchildren Marielle, Ryan, Colleen, and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents, husband, brother Reuben.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Andrew Catholic Church, King Street, St. Andrews from where visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Bobby's Hope House, 385 Dufferin Row, Saint John, NB E2M 2J9 would be appreciated by the family.
